Bequests
A charitable bequest makes WeAchieve a named beneficiary in your will. You retain full access to your funds during your lifetime. Then later, your bequest will make a difference in the lives of generations on after.
This is information your attorney will need to name WeAchieve as the beneficiary of your bequest:
WeAchieve (formerly CHI Centers, Inc.)Offices at 10501 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring, MD 20903
Federal Tax ID 52-0623695
Sum of $______________, exclusive of my lifetime donations, if any, to be used for WeAchieve’s most urgent priorities as determined by its board of trustees in their sole discretion.
Special Needs Trust
If you have a trust that manages your child’s care, you can name WeAchieve as a remainder beneficiary of the trust. The funding of your child’s care will remain unaffected during your child’s lifetime, then all or a portion of what remains will be gifted to WeAchieve to help so many others — if you like, carrying on your child’s name.
Your attorney will need this language to add WeAchieve to your trust:
Legal name: WeAchieve (formerly CHI Centers, Inc.)
Federal Tax ID: 52-0623695
Address: 10501 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring, MD 20903
IRA: Donating Your Required Minimum Distribution
Are you 70½ years old or older? If so, you can make a charitable gift to WeAchieve from your IRA. The gift, considered required minimum distribution (RMD), will be exempt from federal income tax. You can find more details here
Everyone’s financial situation is different, so ask your tax advisor or trust attorney what’s right for you.
